Reflections
Throughout the course, I have learned how to write a good composition in Spanish language by using certain basic elements, such as using the right vocabulary and grammar. As in sample 1, I learned how to do a translation in short sentences, and I also learned that, revision is an important step, whether translating a short sentence or a long text, because through revision, we can create a good piece of work by making changes and correcting all the errors and mistakes that we have made through the first draft. In addition, revision should be done in a few times, and each time we should be focusing on different elements. Syntactic revision, for example, there are five elements we should focus on when we make a revision. First is the verbal agreement and adjective agreement, which subject and adjectives/verb must agree with one another in gender (masculine or feminine) and in number (singular or plural). Second is the verb tense, which the meaning can be different as when we use different tenses, such as preterit and imperfect, so, we must be sure what we want to say, in order to use the correct form. Third is the outline, which we need to keep our ideas and sentences in order. Fourth is the orthography, which the written accent helps readers distinguish the meaning of the word. Fifth is the vocabulary, which we use the correct word and tone to express our point of view. Other than syntactic revision, there is subject revision as well, which we focus on the organization and structure.
Overall, by using what I have learned through this course, I was able to make a good composition and translation.
